GM To Invest $61 Million In Spring Hill Plant

General Motors Vice President Labor Relations Cathy Clegg announces GM will invest $61 million to bring its idled Spring Hill assembly plant back to life as a flexible manufacturing facility capable of building any GM car or crossover based on customer demand or manufacturing need Monday, November 21, 2011 in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The investment will create 594 hourly jobs and 91 salaried positions at the facility that will begin to produce the Chevrolet Equinox in the second half of 2012. Clegg also announced a second investment of $183 million for future midsize vehicles to be built at Spring Hill.
