GENERAL MOTORS NAMES NORTHSTAR TOP AUTO AUCTION
Manufacturer's "Auction of the Year" for
Second Year in a Row
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - General Motors remarketing department
will present ADT Automotive's Northstar Auto Auction with the
GM Auction of the Year Award today at its regularly scheduled
GM sale. History will be made at this year's awards presentation,
as GM will auction its 7 millionth car during Northstar's 1,000-car
sale. GM began selling cars at auction in 1983.
"To have Northstar sell our milestone 7 millionth vehicle and
to be able to award them our top honor really highlights the value
of our partnership," said Dan Kennedy, auction manager General
Motors. "Jerry Aman and his team really work hard to meet all
our needs and they always exceed our expectations," added Kennedy.
"Last year being named 'Auction of the Year' was a great honor;
this year the honor is indescribable. Not only because of the
award, but also because we get to help GM celebrate a milestone
in its history," said Jerry Aman, general manager at Northstar.
"Our employees and dealers are who make us the best, and this
award is based solely on their dedicated and outstanding efforts."
