Nancy Laubenthal is the Plant Manager at the GM Brownstown Battery Assembly Plant, where the lithium-ion batteries for th Chevrolet Volt, the electric vehicle with extended range, will be assembled.
Laubenthal began her career with GM in 1985 and has held various positions at the Warren Technical Center, Lansing Grand River Assembly and Flint Assembly. As the director of General Motors Europe Paint & Polymers Center in Ruesselsheim, Germany, she led an innovative team that supported new environmental advancements in paint technology.
Originally from Perrysburg, Ohio, Laubenthal graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s and master’s in Chemical Engineering and earned an MBA from the University of Michigan.
